The embattled group that has been all through the skin of Presbyterian Church in Cameroon (PCC)’s leadership has reemerged with an even more aggressive approach. Many had assumed that the group’s influence would wane following the recent transition of leadership from the Very Rev. Fonki Samuel Forba to Rt. Rev. Miki Hans Abia on March 16, 2025. However, it appears that Presbyterian Christians still have a long struggle ahead in dealing with this persistent group.
In its latest meeting held virtually and which thestandardmirror.com has assess to the outcome, Truth House unveiled a set of resolutions that it considers a blueprint for future engagements with the PCC. The March 19, 2025 meeting had over 16 members of Truth House, with former moderator, Very Rev. Festus Ambe Asana, serving as the spiritual guide, leading prayers and meditations. Notably, the group has appointed its own moderator, Barrister Nico Halle, a “Peace crusader”.

Key Resolutions by Truth House
Among the resolutions adopted by Truth House, the following stand out:
- Sending a letter congratulating Rt. Rev. Miki Hans Abia on his election and induction as the 7th Moderator of the PCC.
- Pledging to restore the spiritual well-being of the church and remain relentless in this mission.
- Seeking a friendly meeting with the new moderator.
- Demanding the eviction of the Very Rev. Fonki Samuel Forba from the Synod Office.
- Categorically rejecting “unconditional reconciliation” and insisting that those who looted church property must restore it.
- Holding Rev. Perpetua Fonki accountable for any harm that might befall their members.
- Another significant development is the third edition of the Truth House newsletter, which has thus far been distributed only in digital format. Moving forward, the group has resolved to produce and distribute hard copies to PCC Christians on a monthly basis. However, questions remain about the editorial vision, funding, and legal basis for this publication.
Concerns Raised Over Moderator’s Induction Ceremony
Truth House also raised concerns about the induction ceremony of Rt. Rev. Miki Hans in Buea on March 16, 2025. The group noted the absence of key partners, including Mission 21, and pointed out deviations from PCC traditions. According to them, it is customary for a former moderator, the outgoing moderator, and a representative of a partner organization to lay hands on the new moderator, but this did not happen. Additionally, after placing the pectoral cross on his successor, Rt. Fonki was seen putting on a second cross he removed from his pocket. The group found the action troubling.

Calls for Constitutional Revisions and Structural Reforms
Truth House has expressed its willingness to assist the new moderator, with its top priority being the revision of the church’s constitution and “Book of Orders.” The group claims that key committees, such as the Board of Trustees, are not functioning properly and that pastoral transfers are being used as punitive measures against clergy who oppose unorthodox practices within the church. How this is possible remains a big wonder given that this body has no locus standi in the church. It is not identified at all
Future Implications
Many PCC Christians believed that Truth House would dissolve following its intense opposition to the former church moderator. However, it is now evident that the group will continue its confrontations, this time targeting the new leadership team. Despite its activities, Truth House has yet to clearly define itself, whether as a faith-based organization, a civil society group, or an NGO. Currently, the group claims a net worth of over 865,239 FCFA.
Challenges for the New Moderator
On his induction day, Rt. Rev. Miki Hans Abia emphasized his commitment to “Strengthening and Edifying” the church, with a mission to reconcile disgruntled factions, including the clergy, laity, and groups such as Truth House. Having served as the Synod Clerk under the previous leadership, he is familiar with the church’s internal struggles. With only two weeks at the helm, all eyes are on him to see how he will address the persistent challenges posed by Truth House and restore harmony within the PCC.

Maybe it was an error sir. Can you send your number again? Sorry for the mix up
I love this write up. It’s wanderful and very teaching. The group I AM PCC is sending people away for no good reason. How will they operate when a majority of the members have been evicted?
